What kind of Game is Soul Seeker?
Soul Seeker is put in the category as a 'Gatcha Games' - Gatcha Games are all quiet similar to each other, but lets mention how Soul Seeker is different:
Typical Gatcha Game: Notorious for being free, yet get players to spend unbelievable amounts by luring them with a chance to get the desirable characters!
VS Soul Seeker: I have personally spent $0 on Soul Seeker, and would advise spending $2 if you want to quickly get Green Fatima, else $0
Typical Gatcha Games: if you know exactly what hero you want next, there is no direct way to get it because the way you get heroes is random through Diamon Summons.
VS Soul Seeker: Save 26,500 Diamonds and have at minimum room for 100 heroes ( to do a 110 Hero Summon) and select the 5 star SSR hero you want and you are garenteed to get them!
Typical Gatcha Games: Heroes in your party have just 1 special ability each ( party size typically 3 to 5 )
VS Soul Seeker: Heroes have 3 to 4 special abilities EACH! ( every 3rd attack is a special + 30sec special + 20sec special + another reactionary, cooldown, or passive! )
Typical Gatcha Games: Upgrading Heroes Star Rating / Level / Runes / Equipment gets worse and worse the higher you get
VS Soul Seeker: Unfortunately Soul Seeker is the same in these aspects! Ex: Hero to Lvl 60 - Unlock Stigmata! Hero to 66 Unlock Exclusive Weapon! Hero to 100 Nothing Special!
Setting Your Expectations:
Like most games that I like, this one I like not for the perfect finished product that it is not, but for the thought provoking analysis it inspires!
There are Daily things to do that require too many button taps - Auto-Clear Tickets help but still - too repetative!
There are ways to cheet in many games, including Soul Seeker - no one likes cheaters!
The Combat is mostly hands off - which I like because the strategy is all pre-combat, but if your more of a young button smasher, this is not for you.
I wouldn't call it a competitive game... there are New Servers but people transfer existing equipment to new server characters so its never a fresh start.
This game doesn't make it easy on us who like to analyze... no combat log, and active buff / debuff icons are hard to distinguish!
So What is the fun part?
Mainly understanding how combat works in this game ( A++ Combat System) Ex: You can have both an Attack Speed Buff and Debuff at the same time, but not multiple Attack Speed Buffs - highest Buff takes effect.
And comparing and contrasting Hereos ( A+ Heroes with Unique Personalities and Compatibility with other Heroes )
